Updates on my work/books. :)

Welcome to the Universe series: I know this hasn’t been updated for ages, but I swear that I haven’t given up on it! I’ve been editing the first book SO MUCH that now I need to go over the second and make some small changes. I cannot move forward with the second instalment until I publish the first book. I’m sorry! The good news is that I should be publishing very soon. I’ve finished the first edit, and am now making the final changes. Then, WTTU will be available in paperback and I can continue moving forward with this series. This series is my first priority at the moment.

The Not So Secret Life of Helena Callahan series: with Watty Awards just around the corner, I am editing like crazy because I really want these books available in print form already! The main thing slowing me down at the moment is the length. The first book is technically the size of two lengthy novels…and that’s created some issues with the editing process. In saying that, I was approached by a publishing house that found me on Wattpad recently. It didn’t end up moving forward (yet) because I didn’t cover the genre she was looking for, but still, being approached was pretty exciting. :P

Other than that, I’ve been writing off Wattpad. Yes, I AM working on BOOK FOUR. I love writing this series, but I don’t plan to share what I’m working on until it’s finished. I’m aiming to have book four available late 2012 or early 2013. Tainted Blood series, Unzipped, and Love Me Dead: though I am slowly working on all of these, they are on the backburner at the moment because publishing is at the front of my mind right now. First, I plan to publish Welcome to the Universe, then The Not So Secret Life of Helena Callahan. After that, I will be working on these series again...

One of These is NOT like the others..

We all know that Darien Valentine has a past. It’s no lie that he’s had his fair share of women, just as it’s no secret that he has one rule: you *must* leave in the morning. Yet, some of our special heroines have slipped through the cracks of his icy heart. And he’s bent this “one time only” rule for them . . . and ONLY them.

Many have asked: why them? What’s so special about Roxanne Turner, Annabelle Morel, Dianna Petrov, and of course our fiery little Helena Callahan? Clearly Darien has a weakness for a beautiful woman . . .  but why these women in particular?

Believe it or not, but Valentine has a very specific type—even though you mightn’t pick this up on first sight—all these women do have something in common: the ability to break Darien’s heart.

The question is: which one does he REALLY love?

Before I state the top entries, I just wanted to say that ALL of the entries were fantastic. The judges and I had an incredibly hard time choosing a winner - you're all such talented writers, and the contest results actually had to be delayed a day because of this. :P We ended up choosing a few finalist and picking the winner's name from a hat. :) For those who didn't get the chance to enter - DON'T PANIC, because I plan to hold more competitions in the near future.

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is check my emails, every single morning I do this. And nothing brightens up my day more than these kinds of lovely comments. They make me want to stop everything and write constantly. Of course, I can't stop the world from turning (yet) any more than I can stop life from making me do other things besides writing. What I can do, however, is enjoy these awesome comments on TNSSLOHC3's prologue and thank all of my lovely readers for their support. <3

Nanowrimo? Let's do this!

Okay, okay, so I know what you're thinking. 'Emma, you can't possibly be starting another story!' The answer is: I'm barking mad, you don't want to question my sanity. o.O

Anyway, I probably wont be finishing in time, because 50,000 words in a month (alongside two deadlines) is just crazy - even for me. But I like to feel like I'm 'apart' of things, so I joined anyway. Haha. I have, however, made a strict promise with myself. I cannot start my Nano entry until I finish LMD and WTTG. So, well, wish me luck! And be sure to buddy me if you're competing! ;D
